Postpartum Doula Testimonials

We were so grateful to have Molly supporting our family as our postpartum doula. She took the time to get to understand us as people and parents, shared her expertise with deep humility, and kept in close communication with us even on days we didn’t see her.

In addition to helping get our son through the night and developing a bond with him, she also did small tasks…that made it so much easier for us to get through chaotic mornings with a preschooler and baby. Thank you, Molly, for riding the fourth trimester waves with us and making the seas feel a bit calmer.

Molly was my postpartum doula. She was absolutely wonderful. So patient, helpful and kind. I didn’t know the first thing about caring for a newborn. She taught me so much about feeding, bathing, holding, soothing and many other things about caring for my baby. She was very flexible with her hours (willing to support any day or night I needed) and with the support and guidance she provided.

She came highly recommended from my friend who had used her services and continues to do so even after her son has grown beyond infancy. I would recommend Molly in a heartbeat as she is the reason my baby got such a great start to life!

When Molly came for nights at the beginning, we thought, “Thank God, how would we survive if it wasn’t a Molly night tonight? And now having her help is like a little vacation treat!”

Molly is a phenomenal doula. From the minute I met her, I knew I could absolutely trust her judgment in her care of my son. She is warm, nurturing, empathetic and brings amazing experience and expertise, as she has five kids of her own. She brings a wealth of knowledge (and a lot of much-needed common sense) to her work. She gave my sound advice when I had questions/concerns about my newborn and has an extremely calming presence, which is invaluable when navigating the ups and downs of taking care of a newborn. Molly not only took care of my son as a newborn, but has helped me most recently with my now-toddler son during a childcare gap we've had. My son adores her and smiles when she enters the house. Molly loves her work and it shows in the joy she brings to her work. The best part about Molly is I don't worry when my son is with her. I know he is in great hands!

We had a really wonderful experience with Molly, I can’t recommend her enough! She was incredibly calm, and gentle with our little one, and was great source of guidance and recommendations for us as first time parents. She helped me navigate that early cluster feeding period. Having her tend to burping, changing and settling him after a feeding was immensely helpful during those early weeks in helping me maximize my own precious sleep. Given how variable the weather was in the spring, she also helped us figure out how best to dress him for sleep, ensuring he wasn’t too hot or too cold. She was also just generally a source of invaluable support in helping me feel more confident in my own ability to care for our little one. I would happily recommend Molly to other new parents!

We worked with Molly as our postpartum doula and it was the best decision ever! She took excellent care for me and my baby! I honestly couldn’t imagine how my first weeks of postpartum would be without Molly. She helped a lot with baby care and also taking care of me physically and mentally. We could not recommend Molly enough and we are forever grateful to have her as our postpartum doula!

We started working with Molly during a very challenging time for our growing family. She was warm, empathetic, and incredibly knowledgable and we immediately felt at ease while she cared for our newborn. Each morning, she would leave a detailed report of his night, which was so helpful for an anxious new mom. She also provided insight and recommendations as we navigated transitioning to formula and dairy allergies. I highly recommend Molly to any family during the fourth trimester.

I enthusiastically offer my recommendation of Molly Casey Duffy’s doula services. Molly helped me for three months following the birth of my son both during the day and overnight.

As a first time mom who experienced a great deal of anxiety before my son was born, Molly was my saving grace and the only person outside of family who I trust to care for my son.

We enjoyed working with her so much that once our initial contract ended, we extended it another month because her help was invaluable. She is hardworking, reliable and exceptionally thoughtful.

I had no experience with infants, so I was looking for a doula who could show me the basics of baby care and help keep up around the house. It can be daunting as a new mom to feel comfortable having someone else watch your infant overnight. However, Molly made me feel completely at ease with my son in her care. She kept impeccable notes for each overnight stay and I could actually rest without worry.

I truly cannot emphasize enough how much that rest helped my sanity in the early days. Molly went above and beyond for our family, helping during my son’s many physical therapy and lactation consultant appointments. She often remembered details from the appointments that I’d forgotten myself.

Molly’s help set me up to feel confident in my own abilities. She encouraged me when I was unsure, helped troubleshoot any questions I had, and offered useful tips I would not have known about otherwise.

Her education and experience were so reassuring and comforting to me during the huge adjustment of having a new baby. I wholeheartedly recommend working with Molly!

Kind Words

  • Using Giving Hands Doula Support was without a doubt one of the best decisions we made as new parents. We were hesitant to explore postpartum doula services, but upon meeting Molly, we knew we were in good hands. Molly is professional, experienced, respectful, kind, and most importantly, she took excellent care of our son. Molly supported our family three nights per week for the first five weeks. Those nights of uninterrupted sleep and support gave us the needed rest and energy to be fully present and the best versions of ourselves for our baby in those fleeting newborn weeks. Give yourselves the gift of rest (and your baby the gift of rested parents), and use Giving Hands Doula Support for your postpartum needs.

  • We are so grateful to Molly for the care she provided to us both before and after our son's birth. Even though we weren't planning to work with Molly until after our son was born, when we received news late in pregnancy that our son was breech, Molly provided extensive resources and encouraging words as we explored options to encourage our baby to turn before delivery. We felt at ease working with Molly before our son was even born and she was by our side to help navigate as new parents within a day of returning from the hospital. We highly recommend working with Molly to any new parents looking for a caring partner in the delivery and newborn journey!

  • “We had a wonderful experience with Molly. She was incredibly experienced, calm, encouraging, and wise in the advice she gave us. She took wonderful care of our little one and always had an ear for our thoughts and concerns. Without her help, our postpartum time would certainly not have been such a positive, joyful experience. Molly was a wonderful coach to us as newborn parents with our first child and gave so much warmth and care to our baby. We could not recommend her enough!”

  • "We hired Molly as our postpartum doula for our first child and we can't recommend her enough. As first time parents, we had many questions and concerns. Molly was informative and reassuring, helping us feel at ease as we navigated swaddling, nursing, bath time and more. We appreciated how hands-on she was, even bringing over different products to test out. She was so sweet with our son and we felt completely comfortable and confident leaving him in her hands. We are convinced he liked to nap on Molly more than us!"

  • "Molly was with our family of four for six days and we were very fortunate to have her! From the start Molly was helpful and made our lives that much easier while we adjusted to life with a new baby. She helped care for our baby, gave advice about baby related matters and took a load off our shoulders with helping around the house. Most importantly, we knew our baby was in capable and loving hands. Not only was she wonderful in caring for our new baby girl, during her time with us she also helped out with and cared for our three year old daughter. Molly's sweet nature made our eldest girl feel at ease at times where we needed to focus on our baby while Molly took care of her. She could even be reached outside of the 'office hours' and she went above and beyond in caring for our family's needs. All in all we truly had a wonderful experience with Molly and would certainly recommend her for your family!"

  • "Molly is the best. She is responsive, responsible, and professional. She cared for my newborn during the night and I felt my daughter was totally safe with her! She also helped me with household organization, which was life-saving for my exhausted postpartum brain. She would leave me delicious lactation bars as a treat in the morning. You can't ask for a better doula!"
