Dynamic Body Balancing

Giving you a gentle hand: Body balancing for babies, pregnancy, and postpartum

Dynamic Body Balancing (DBB) is a gentle hands-on approach that supports the body’s natural ability to heal, release tension, and restore balance. Using light touch, DBB works with the nervous system, fascia, soft tissues, and fluids surrounding all the structures in the body to encourage ease and well being. A gentle, intuitive, and deeply transformative way to help regulate the nervous system of both the baby and the family. Sometimes our bodies just need a little help to unwind!

Sessions are gentle, safe, and always tailored to meet you and your baby’s needs.

What many people share after a session is a sense of deep relaxation, greater ease in their body, improved sleep, and a feeling of calm and clarity.

Optimizing how your baby feels in their body can have a profound impact on your whole family!

Birth is a big transition for little bodies. Oftentimes, babies experience tension or torsion from their position in utero and/or the birth process that may show up as:

  • Difficulty latching or feeding

  • Oral motor function challenges and tethered oral ties (TOTs)

  • Preference for turning their head one way (Torticollis)

  • Flattened areas of the head (Plagiocephaly -sides and/or Brachycephaly -back of head)

  • Reflux, gassiness, constipation or other digestive discomforts

  • Colic

  • Crying in the car seat

  • Difficulty laying flat on their backs

  • Uncomfortable in tummy time

  • Restless and/or noisy sleep

  • Nervous system dysregulation

  • General fussiness or difficulty settling

  • Delayed milestones

Dynamic Body Balancing can help ease these restrictions and regulate their nervous systems, supporting babies to feed, rest, and grow with more comfort. When babies feel safe, emotionally regulated, and comfortable in their bodies, the effects create lasting change and give your baby an optimal start in life.

Curious to how Dynamic Body Balancing can help you or your baby?

Balanced Bodies,
Real Impact.

Optimal alignment, pelvic dynamics, and nervous system health are vital for pregnancy, labor prep, birth and postpartum recovery.

Whether you already know that your baby isn’t in an optimal position for birth or you just want to be proactive, Dynamic Body Balancing can help! We all carry tension or torsion in our fascia (connective tissue) due to our own in utero positioning, birthing experience, falls or physical injuries. People often seek support due to pain or feeling discomfort, such as extreme nausea, within their bodies which lets us know that something is off in the structure. Most times we’re told that this pain and discomfort is common, but just because it’s common, doesn’t mean it’s normal and something we have to just live with. Let’s stop just treating symptoms and get to the root cause.

Utilizing light touch and techniques from Dynamic Body Balancing, Body Ready Method®, and Spinning Babies®, I will do a Dynamic Body Balancing session in your home and you will also learn techniques and exercises to continue to balance your body and release fascia, ligaments and muscles to make more space available n your body to encourage baby to find their optimal position for birth. Bringing the body into physiological balance allows the uterus to be in better balance, which allows baby to have the most balanced space to navigate all 3 levels of the pelvis and allows the core system to function at its best.

Our job is not to move the baby, our job is to create space for the baby to move. We want to create balanced space for baby to do what they know how to do and what they instinctively want to do!

Feel more connected with your baby & your body

When we support the mother, we support the entire family.

Recent research has shown that pregnancy and motherhood bring about profound changes in the brain. Far from being a sign of loss, these changes appear to represent a remarkable process of neurological reorganisation. Areas involved in social awareness, emotional attunement, empathy, and caregiving are reshaped as a mother adapts to the needs of her baby. Some of these changes begin during pregnancy and can still be traced years after birth.

Scientists now speak of motherhood as a period of immense neuroplasticity — a time when the brain, body, and nervous system are all undergoing significant transformation. This process, sometimes referred to as matrescence, is every bit as profound as adolescence, yet often receives far less recognition and support.

From a Dynamic Body Balancing perspective, this makes perfect sense. Pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period ask a mother’s system to do something extraordinary: remain deeply connected to another human being while simultaneously recovering from pregnancy, birth, sleep disruption, hormonal shifts, and a complete reorganisation of identity, making lasting imprints on both the mother and the baby’s nervous systems.

Dynamic Body Balancing offers a space where mothers themselves can be held. By supporting regulation of the nervous system, creating opportunities for deep rest, and helping the body process the physical and emotional experiences of pregnancy and birth,

Dynamic Body balancing can provide valuable support during the postpartum journey. In a culture that often places all attention on the baby, it reminds us that the mother’s wellbeing matters too.
